Cross Country Ready For KSU
Sept. 7, 2005 LAWRENCE, Kan. - Complete Meet Notes in PDF Format The University of Kansas men's and women's cross country teams will travel to Manhattan, Kan., on Friday, Sept. 9, for a dual meet with Kansas State at Warner Park. The meet, which is hosted by the Wildcats, is set to begin with the women's 6k race at 6:30 p.m. followed by the men's 8k race at 7:30 p.m. The Jayhawks are coming off team victories in both races last Saturday, Sept. 3, at the Bob Timmons Invitational. Overall winner Colby Wissel (Elm Creek, Neb.) led the men's side with a time of 25:33.57. The men finished with a final tally of 20 team points. The women, who also finished first with a score of 56 points, were led by Connie Abbott. The sophomore out of Overland Park, Kan., was the seventh place overall finisher with a time of 19:19.46. Following the KSU/KU Dual, the Jayhawks will head to Minneapolis, Minn., for the Roy Griak Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 24.
