LAWRENCE, Kan. -

With two first place finishes in the past two weeks, the Kansas men's cross country team is currently ranked fourth in the Midwest Region.  The rankings, provided by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association show where the teams rank to date with the teams they will take on at the Nov. 10 Midwest Regional Championships in Peoria, Ill.

 

The Jayhawks lead Big 12 foes Missouri (6), Oklahoma (9), Nebraska (12) and Kansas State (14).  Oklahoma State leads the Midwest Region followed by Iowa and Minnesota.

 

The KU women's team is ranked just behind Kansas State at No. 12.  Illinois is the top ranked team for the women.


 

 

 

The Kansas squads will look to boost their rankings as they at the Roy Griak Invitational on Sept. 29 in St. Paul Minnesota.
