KU's Dreyer Wins Back Draw in 2011 ITA Summer Circuit

LAWRENCE, Kan. - New Jayhawk tennis player Claire Dreyer won the back draw of the women's singles in the 2011 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Summer Circuit Sunday at Jayhawk Tennis Facility. Dreyer, a transfer from Dayton, defeated Jennifer Hartjes, 6-2, 6-0. On Saturday, Dreyer and her partner, Rebecca Bailey (Wisconsin), lost in the finals of the women's doubles draw to the team of Alicia Kauss (Indiana) and Noelle Malley (OSU), 8-6. Kansas opens its fall tournament season with the KU Tournament Sept. 16-18 at Jayhawk Facility. Please check back at kuathletics.com for more information.
