| Jayhawk Tennis Center |
The Jayhawk Tennnis Center serves as the indoor and outdoor home of the Kansas Jayhawks, but more than that, it's a full-service facility with a slate of programming for all ages.
Kansas Athletics' involvement with the Jayhawk Tennis Center, formerly known as First Serve, dates back to 2006 when the department negotiated an agreement to use the indoor facility to host its women's team's regular season matches. The athletic department purchased the facility outright Feb. 1, 2010, and in addition to managing the the center full-time, began several improvement projects.
The current facility consists of five indoor courts, six outdoor courts, room for spectator viewing, workout facilities and a locker room for the KU tennis team.
Services provided at the Jayhawk Tennis Center include private and group lessons, QuickStart junior tennis program, USTA sanctioned tournaments and leagues, non-sanctioned tournaments and leagues, interclub matches and social events. |
