2008 (RS-Freshman): Named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll ... Made 21 appearances for the Jayhawks, including two starts in right field ... Batted .238 with seven runs scored and two RBIs ... Went 1-for-3 with three runs scored in Big 12 contests ... Went 2-for-4 in pinch hitting duties ... Reached three of five times when leading off an inning ... Went 1-for-4 with a double in his first collegiate start, at Hawaii-Hilo (2/23) ... Went 1-for-2 with a walk and two RBIs against Saint Mary (4/2) ... Lawrence HS: Lettered three times for head coach Brad Stoll ... A second team all-state selection in 2006 ... Helped lead the Lawrence Raiders to back-to-back summer league state championships and a Central Plains Region championship in 2006 ... Participated in the Greater KC Metro All-Star game as well as the Kansas Association of Baseball Coaches All-Star game in 2006 ... Also played two years of football at Lawrence High ... Earned Sunflower League Honorable Mention twice as the team's quarterback.
