Kansas’ Win…

• Improves the Jayhawks’ record to 7-5 on the season and 1-0 at home.
• Gives head coach Ritch Price his 330^th win at Kansas and his 547^th in his Division I coaching career.
• Gives Price his 10th win in 11 home openers while coaching at Kansas.
• Improves Kansas to 184-90-1 at Hoglund Ballpark under head coach Ritch Price, including 120-23 against non-conference opponents.
• Marked the program’s first all-time victory over Niagara (first meeting).

Team Notes

• Kansas finished with a season high nine stolen bases, the most in a game since KU had a school-record 10 stolen bases against Oklahoma State in 2000.
• The Jayhawks recorded nine total hits against Niagara, continuing their streak of nine or more hits in every game this season.
• KU recorded its third shutout of the year. The Jayhawks finished the 2012 season with only four total shutouts.

Individual Notes

• Kansas second baseman Tommy Mirabelli had a two-run double in the second inning, giving him his first multi-RBI game. He finished the game with a total of three runs batted in.
• Outfielder Dakota Smith threw out a base runner at the plate in the fourth inning, giving him a team-best three outfield assists for the season.
• Third baseman Jordan Dreiling had his first triple of the season in the fifth inning. He is the third Jayhawk to have a triple during the season. 
•  Dreiling also had two RBI’s against Niagara, improving his season total to a team high of 12.
•  Pitcher Drew Morovick threw five scoreless innings. It was his longest start without allowing a run since April 18, 2012 against St. Mary when he also threw five scoreless innings.
• Morovick became the fifth different Jayhawk pitcher to record a victory on the mound this season.
• Outfielder Michael Suiter finished the game with three stolen bases, a career high. His performance ties fellow outfielder Tucker Tharp for the most in a game this season.
