On Missouri's starting pitcher ...

"I thought he (Aaron Crow) got better as the game went on.  I didn't think he was near as sharp as early in the game as he was later.  A lot of quality guys do that once they find their rhythm.  We just tried to run his pitch count up to see if we could get him out of the game."

On Kansas' performance...

"We had chances.  We had enough guys in scoring position, but we just couldn't put the ball in play at the right time.  One thing is that you don't have to say one motivational thing in this series.  If you don't get fired up to play these guys (Missouri), there's something wrong with you."
