Jayhawks Defeat Chicago State in First Game
May 12, 2007 LAWRENCE, Kan. - Junior John Allman collected a pair of doubles and three RBIs as the University of Kansas downed Chicago State, 10-0, in the first game of a non-conference doubleheader Saturday at Hoglund Ballpark. Kansas scored a pair of first inning runs and did not look back. Sophomore lefty Nick Czyz allowed just one hit, while shutting out the Cougars over five innings. Senior Ryotaro Hayakawa pitched the final two frames. The teams will start the second game of the doubleheader at approximately 4 p.m.
