Feb. 20, 2013
LAWRENCE, Kan. – After cancelling its three-game series in Lawrence originally scheduled this weekend, Kansas baseball will hit the road and take on SIU-Edwardsville, Central Arkansas and Jackson State in Little Rock and Conway, Ark., Friday and Saturday. The Jayhawks will travel to Little Rock, Ark., and play SIU-Edwardsville at noon on Friday at Gary Hogan Field. KU will then face Central Arkansas (1 p.m.) and Jackson State (5 p.m.) in a doubleheader Saturday at Bear Stadium in Conway, Ark. KU will be facing all three opponents for the first time on the baseball diamond. The Jayhawks are also scheduled to meet Jackson State in a midweek non-conference game on Wednesday, March 13 in Lawrence. KU had been scheduled to face Northwestern in a three-game series in Lawrence this weekend, but due to winter weather expected to hit the area early Thursday morning, that series was cancelled.
