Baseball Home Opener Pushed Back
Feb. 24, 2013
LAWRENCE, Kan. – Due to impending winter weather forecast to hit Lawrence on Monday, Kansas baseball has cancelled its game with Missouri State, scheduled for Tuesday afternoon at Hoglund Ballpark. The teams will try to make up the contest later in the season. Kansas is scheduled to face the Bears in Springfield, Mo., on March 26. Due to heavy snow in the Lawrence area last week, KU was forced to cancel its home series with Northwestern. Instead, the Jayhawks traveled to Little Rock, Ark., and played three non-conference games Friday and Saturday, going 2-1 on the trip. KU’s next scheduled game is Friday, March 1 against Iowa at 3 p.m., at Hoglund Ballpark. The game is part of the Millard Management Jayhawk Classic, which will feature KU, Iowa and Eastern Michigan.
