Kansas Baseball Cancels Four Games
Feb. 26, 2013
LAWRENCE, Kan. – Due to heavy snow in the Lawrence area on Monday night, Kansas baseball has cancelled its weekend tournament scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Hoglund Ballpark. In addition to the three weekend games being scratched, the non-conference game with North Dakota scheduled for Monday, March 4 has also been cancelled. Kansas officials are currently working on a site for a three-game series for the upcoming weekend. Check back with KUAthletics.com for further updates. Winter weather forced the Jayhawks to cancel a three-game home series against Northwestern last weekend and instead, the team played three games in Arkansas against SIU-Edwardsville, Central Arkansas and Jackson State. KU went 2-1 in those games. The Jayhawks (4-3) are now scheduled to play their home opener on Thursday, March 7 against Niagara at 3 p.m. KUAthletics.com: The official online source for Kansas Athletics, Williams Education Fund contributions, tickets, merchandise, multimedia, photos and much, much more.
