Kansas Baseball Travels to Grand Prairie, Texas for Four-Game Series
Feb. 27, 2013
LAWRENCE, Kan. – After cancelling its weekend tournament due to winter weather in Lawrence, Kansas baseball has added a four-game series against Eastern Michigan that will be played at QuikTrip Park in Grand Prairie, Texas.
The Jayhawks and Eagles, who were slated to meet once in the Millard Management Jayhawk Classic, will open their series on Friday at noon, play a doubleheader Saturday beginning at noon and wrap up the series on Sunday at 11 a.m.
This will mark the first meetings between the schools on the baseball diamond since EMU took two-of-three from the Jayhawks in Lawrence in 2011. Kansas leads the all-time series with the Eagles, 5-4.
Following the Eastern Michigan series, KU’s next scheduled home games are March 7-10 against Niagara at Hoglund Ballpark. The Jayhawks will open the four-game set on Thursday, March 7 at 3 p.m.
