Catcher Buck Afenir was all smiles after hitting a two-run homerun for KU Wednesday night at the Big 12 Baseball Championship in Oklahoma City.

Matt Baty had reason to be dirty. The senior was 3 for 5 with two doubles and a homerun. He drove in two runs and scored two runs.

Baty got a fist pump from Coach Ritch Price after Baty's homerun.

Third baseman Erik Morrison whipped the ball to first.

Dylan Parzyk laid down a sacrifice bunt in the second inning that led to a KU run.

Coach Price watched the Jayhawks win their first Big 12 Championship game.

Second baseman Ryne Price fired a throw to first to complete a double play.

Starter Kodiak Quick allowed one run on seven hits and won his 11th game of the season, a school record.

Quick tried to cool off in the dugout on a hot day in Oklahoma City.

Erick Morrison tracked down an OU runner on one of two rundowns in the game.

Simpson's triple helped KU jump on OU in the first two innings.

Paul Smyth did his jump as the set-up man for Don Czyz.

Don Czyz came in to wrap the game up in the ninth inning.
