SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Kansas baseball signee Jacob Boylan, a senior infielder from Raymore-Peculiar High School, has been named a Class 4 First Team All-State selection in Missouri as the coaches’ all-state teams were released Thursday.

This marks the second-straight year that Boylan has earned all-state honors. This season, Boylan hit .400 with four homers, 28 RBIs and led the team with 21 runs scored. He also finished the year with a .600 slugging percentage.

In 2011, Boylan hit .467 in 30 games with nine homers, 44 RBIs. He helped Raymore-Peculiar advance to the second round of the state tournament.

Kansas baseball has signed seven high school players for the 2013 season, including Boylan who was named all-state and RHP Hayden Edwards, IF Tom Mirabelli and LHP Tyler Watson, who were all drafted by major league clubs last week.
