Strong Pitching Paces Pair of Jayhawk Scrimmages

Box Score 11-15 LAWRENCE, Kan. – Sophomore pitcher Robert Kahana tossed four scoreless innings and recorded five strikeouts as Kansas baseball held two more scrimmages last week at Hoglund Ballpark. KU is in the midst of its 10 practices it is holding prior to its foreign tour to the Dominican Republic. The Jayhawks will complete its schedule the final week of November. Last week, Kahana led the pitching staff in its two scrimmages. Along with the sophomore, junior righty Jordan Piche’ tossed a pair of scoreless innings in Thursday’s contest, allowing no hits and recording two strikeouts. Senior Jordan Luvisi and sophomore Drew Morovick also collected scoreless relief appearances. Offensively, junior Tom Hougland went 2-for-4 with three RBIs, while senior Jordan Dreiling added three stolen bases and two RBIs and sophomore Connor McKay collected a pair of doubles.
