Overview: A fifth-year senior who graduated in May 2007 with a bachelor's degree in communication studies... Posted a 4.0 grade point average his final semester and has started taking master's degree courses in summer 2007... A great shooter whose prowess from beyond the arc has been compared to former Jayhawk Jeff Boschee... Has also been described as a gym rat... The son of a college coach who has a great feel for the game... An impressive ball handler and passer... Excels at getting his teammates involved... Can shoot well spotting up or off the dribble... Considers himself a combo guard who can play the point or on the wing.
Senior Season (2007-08): Set or matched season-highs in points (nine), made field goals (three), made threepoint field goals (three) and three-point attempts (six) on Senior Night versus Texas Tech, a game in which he made his first career start (March 3)... Went 2-for-2 from the free throw line versus Iowa State (Jan. 23) to tie career highs in both categories... In 12 minutes against Loyola (Md.) (Jan. 8) he set a season high with two steals... In a season-high 15 minutes against Florida Atlantic (Nov. 28), he set a season high with three rebounds and had a career-best six assists... Scored five points in nine minutes in the season opener against ULM (Nov. 9).
Junior Season (2006-07): A spring 2007 graduate who appeared in 19 games his junior campaign... Saw action in nine Big 12 contests... Averaged 1.9 points and 5.2 minutes in a reserve role... Pro-rated points per game were 15.1... Registered a season-high nine points on two occasions against Nebraska (Feb. 17) and Niagara (March 16) in the NCAA Tournament... Was 3-of-4 shooting, in- cluding 2-for-3 from three-point range against Nebraska and 3-for-5 - all from three-point range - versus Niagara... Logged the most minutes of the season with 15 against Winston-Salem State recording eight points and a career-high four rebounds... Sophomore Season (2005-06): An Academic All-Big 12 First Team selection who appeared in 24 games after redshirting the previous season... Averaged 5.5 minutes and 2.5 points per game... Led KU in pro-rated ppg at 18.2... Scored four points in eight minutes against Texas Tech (Jan. 30)... Saw 13 minutes off the bench against Nebraska (Jan. 21), scoring seven points... Set a career high in assists with three in just five minutes of action against Yale (Jan. 4)... Recorded back-to-back double-figure scoring games with 11 points against Northern Colorado (Dec. 22) and a career-high 12 against New Orleans (Dec. 29)... Against UNO, established career highs in minutes (17), points (12), three-point field goals (four) and rebounds (three)... His 12 points against UNO tied for the team high with Julian Wright... His five minutes against Idaho State on Nov. 18 were his first minutes since March 28, 2004 against Georgia Tech.

Freshman Season (2003-04): Saw action in 21 games, logging 3.9 minutes per outing... Averaged 1.2 points, 0.5 rebounds and 0.4 assists per game... Had a total of 26 points, eight steals and eight assists... Drilled six three-pointers and pulled down 10 rebounds on the year... Played in his first career game, scoring two points with two steals and two assists in six minutes against UT Chattanooga on Nov. 21... Picked up two assists and a rebound in eight minutes at TCU on Dec. 1... Grabbed two rebounds in seven minutes of play at Stanford on Dec. 6... High School: McAlester High School (2003)... Coached by Kelley Clarke... Averaged nearly 25 points per game as a senior and led McAlester to the state playoffs... Led Oklahoma's class 5A as a junior by pouring in 25.4 points per game, while shooting 58 percent from the field and 45 percent from beyond the arc... Led McAlester to a 22-5 record and a berth in the 5A semifinals as a junior... Ranks as McAlester's all-time leading scorer with over 2,000 career points... Averaged 22.4 points per game as a sophomore... Also a standout baseball player in high school.
Off The Court: Full name is Jeremy Daryl Case... Born Nov. 10, 1984, in Oklahoma City... Communication Studies major... Parents are Rita Newton and Win Case... Father coached basketball at Oklahoma City University from 1993 until 2005 and is the current head coach at El Reno (Okla.) Junior College... Win was a teammate of current KU coach Bill Self at Oklahoma State in the 1980s... Case's mother, Rita Newton, also played basketball in college at Seminole (Okla.) Junior College... Chose KU over Oklahoma and Nebraska... Some former Jayhawks to wear No. 10 include Scooter Barry, Kirk Hinrich and Calvin Rayford.
