03/05/2012 KU Men's Hoops Previews Phillips 66 Big 12 ChampionshipSelf and players talk weekend tournament Jeff Forbes joined the Kansas men's basketball staff in a full-time capacity in August 2010 as video coordinator. In his role, Forbes works closely with the scouting video of opponents, the filming of practices and games and much of the video content and overall management for BillSelf.com. A Lawrence, Kan., native who grew up near the KU campus, Forbes is no stranger to Kansas basketball. From 2008 until August 2010, Forbes was a volunteer intern for the KU men's basketball team while earning his master of science in education degree from KU in Dec. 2009 Forbes was an assistant boys basketball coach at Lawrence High School from 2003-08 and received his bachelor's degree in English from KU in 2004. From 2005-08, he worked as a head coach for non-profit summer basketball programs in which he scouted, recruited and coached teams in national and local summer tournaments. Forbes' parents, Chris and Barb, and brother Jake all attended KU. |
