Overview: One of five returning seniors who is looking for his fourth straight Big 12 regular-season title... A big body inside who has a knack for finding the loose ball... A crowd favorite due to his hard work and being a gritty competitor... An impact player who runs and jumps very well for his size... Can be an inside force.
Senior Season (2007-08): Started the last 35 games of the season and led Kansas with 267 rebounds... Went 10-for-10 from the free throw line to set a career-high in makes and tie a career-high in attempts at Colorado (Feb. 2)... His five assists versus Nebraska (Jan. 26) were a career best... Set new career marks with nine made field goals and 14 field goal attempts vs. Iowa State (Jan. 23)... Had a career-high 25 points at Boston College (Jan. 5)... Had a career-high 13 rebounds in 33 minutes played at USC (Dec. 2)... Made his first career three-point attempt against Northern Arizona (Nov. 21)... Set a career-high in steals (four) versus ULM (Nov. 9).
Junior Season (2006-07): Was third on the team with a 5.1 rebound average... Led Kansas in rebounding on five occasions... Shot a team best 55.0 percent from the field... Averaged 15.3 minutes per contest with three starts - vs. Northern Arizona in the season opener, vs. Oral Roberts (Nov. 15) and vs. Toledo (Dec. 9)... Recorded 10 double-figure scoring games and four double digit rebounding games... Posted his first career double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds against Oral Roberts (Nov. 15) and had three DDs on the season - 13 points, 11 rebounds vs. Dartmouth and 13 points, 10 rebounds vs. Kansas State... The 13 points in those two games tied his career high... Had seven or more rebounds in 11 games... Twice set a career-high in rebounds with 11 against Dartmouth and at Colorado (Feb. 14)... Shot 70 percent or better in 14 contests... Came up big against Oklahoma State (Jan. 10) going 5-for-5 from the field... Had six points, seven rebounds and two blocked shots in the overtime win against Texas in the Big 12 Championship game... Averaged eight points and was 6-for-6 from the field in the last two games of the season against Southern Illinois and UCLA.
Sophomore Season (2005-06): A top reserve who averaged 15.3 minutes and 6.3 points per game... Scored 6.7 ppg in Big 12 contests... Was third on the team with a 4.9 rebound average... Scored in double figures nine times, including on eight occasions against Big 12 foes... Played eight minutes in each of his final two games of the season against Texas and Bradley... Led KU with a 6.3 rebound average in three games during the Big 12 Championship... Grabbed a then-career-high 10 rebounds against Nebraska in the semifinals of the Big 12 Championship... Scored 13 points at Iowa State (Jan. 28), tying a career high... Set new career highs in minutes (26) and free throw attempts (10) and tied career highs in steals (two) and blocks (one) at Texas A&M (Jan. 25)... Also led the team with nine rebounds against the Aggies... Tied a career-high with 13 points against Nebraska (Jan. 21)... Made his season debut against Northern Colorado (Dec. 22) and set or tied previous career highs in assists (one) and steals (two)... Missed the first nine games of the 2005-06 season per NCAA compliance rules due to accepting impermissible benefits from a Kansas donor.
Freshman Season (2004-05): Posted eight points in each of the Jayhawks' first two victories... Had two points in six minutes off the bench against Nevada (Nov. 29)... Scored six points and grabbed five rebounds in just eight minutes of action against Pacific (Dec. 4)... Had six points and grabbed two rebounds off the bench against Louisiana-Lafayette (Dec. 11)... Grabbed five rebounds in nine minutes against South Carolina (Dec. 18)... Got the first start of his career against Wisconsin-Milwaukee (Dec. 22)... Grabbed three rebounds in eight minutes against Texas A&M (Jan. 5)... Poured in four points and grabbed three rebounds at Colorado (Jan. 15)... Scored three points in 12 minutes at Villanova (Jan. 22)... Grabbed three rebounds against Colorado (Feb. 12)... Scored two points and grabbed three boards against Kansas State (March 2).
Canada Exhibition (Fall 2004): Averaged 6.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and shot 57.9 percent (11-of-19) in four KU wins on its British Columbia, Canada, trip... Was 8-for-10 from the field with five rebounds in the 101-46 win against Langara College... Had six points in the finale against the Burnaby Mountain All-Stars.
High School: Midwest City High School (2004)... Posted 18 points and 16 boards per game as a senior... Coached by Rodney Dinde... Once notched 38 points, 16 rebounds and five blocked shots in a single game... Averaged 20 points and 12 rebounds his junior season at Northwest Classen High School... Ranked as the 13th-best power forward and 52nd-best prospect overall by Rivals.com... Attended the NBA and Nike camps... A member of the honor roll.
