Kansas' win over Texas...

... Improves Kansas to 27-4 on the season, the most KU victories since the 2003 Final Four team went 30-8.

... Makes KU's league record 14-2 and give the Jayhawks 14 conference wins for the fifth time in Big 12 history.

... Gives KU its fifth outright Big 12 regular-season title.

... Extends Kansas' winning streak to eight, its longest of the season.

... Gives KU its second-straight win over Texas and makes the Jayhawks 6-0 against the Longhorns in Allen Fieldhouse.

... Gives KU a 4-3 edge in the last seven meetings with Texas, and makes the all-time series 13-5 in favor of KU.

... Makes KU 16-2 at home in 2006-07 to mark the most home victories since the 1997-98 Jayhawks went 16-0.

... Makes KU 180-12 in Allen Fieldhouse since 1994-95 and 596-106 all time in the facility.

... Makes Bill Self 306-133 all time, 99-28 while at Kansas and 3-5 against Texas.

Notes

-         Junior Russell Robinson's 17 points and three three-pointers marked career-highs.

-         Sophomore Julian Wright scored 17 points and recorded a career-high 13 rebounds, marking the forward's fifth-career double-double.  His five assists also tied a career high.  The 13 rebounds are the most by any KU player this season.

-         Sophomore Mario Chalmers' 21 points were one shy of a season-high, and marked the ninth time he has scored 20-plus points in his career.  He also tallied a career-high five three-pointers.  Chalmers is averaging 18.4 points in his last four contests.

-         After KU opened the game 4-0, Texas went on an 18-4 run, including a stretch of 12 straight points from Kevin Durant, to take an 18-8 lead at the 13:35 mark.

-         After trailing 54-42 at the half, its largest halftime deficit of the season, KU used a 22-6 run over the first four-plus minutes of the second half to take a 64-61 lead.  Kansas trailed by as many as 16 in the first half, which was its largest deficit of the season.

-         Durant scored 25 in the first half, which were the most in a single half by a KU opponent since Texas Tech's Rayford Young scored 35 in the second half on Feb. 13, 1999.  His 10 field-goals made in the first half were the most since Pepperdine's Gerald Brown netted 10 in the second half on Dec. 18, 1997.

-         Durant's 25 first half points were also more than any KU opponent has scored in a game since Kansas State's Jermaine Maybank scored 26 on Feb. 7.

-         Durant finished with a game-high 32 points, which were the most scored by a KU opponent since Missouri's Thomas Gardner poured in 40 on Jan. 16, 2006. His 13 field-goals also marked a KU opponent season high.

-         Kansas' 11 three point field goals tied a season high.

-         Texas' D.J. Augustine's 13 assists were the most ever by a KU opponent, surpassing the 12 dished out by Oklahoma's Mookie Blaylock on Jan. 18, 1989.

-         Kansas completed the regular season holding all of its opponents to under 50-percent shooting from the field, a streak that extends back to Kansas' loss to Texas on Feb. 25, 2006.  The streak was extended to 37 straight games and 66 of KU's last 67 contests.

-         Texas set opponent season highs in points in a half (54 in the first), field-goals (32), three-point field-goals (14), free-throw percentage (88.9, 8-9) and assists (19).  The Longhorns also tied a KU opponent season high with 30 three-point attempts.

-         Texas' 14 three-pointers are the most against KU since Florida nailed 14 on Nov. 29, 2002.  It was the most in a conference game since Nebraska hit 18 on Feb. 24, 2002.

-         Kansas has now outrebounded its opponent by double-digits in four of the last five games.
