INDIVIDUAL NOTES

  • Senior C Jeff Withey posted the third 20-plus game of his career and second of the season.
  • Withey also connected on his first-career three pointer at the 5:20 mark of first half to put Kansas up 32-12. It was the Kansas big man's first attempt.
  • Withey notched four blocks, which marked his 23rd game this year he has collected three or more rejections.
  • Senior G Elijah Johnson notched a career-high 12 assists, the most by a Jayhawk in a conference game since Aaron Miles dished out 12 versus Kansas State Jan. 28, 2004.
  • Johnson posted back-to-back double digit assists the first time since Aaron Miles dropped 12 and 11 dimes on Kansas State and Iowa State, respectively on Jan. 28 and Jan. 31, 2004.
  • Johnson's nine first half assists is the second-most ever by a Jayhawk in a half, and ties Kirk Hinrich's and Ryan Robinson's school-record mark for assists in a half of a conference game.
  • Senior F Kevin Young's 14 points marked his ninth double-digit scoring effort of the season and sixth of the conference campaign.
  • Senior G Travis Releford was 8-of-10 from the charity stripe, notching a new career-high in free throw attempts.
  • Freshman G Ben McLemore's 13 points puts him at 494 for the season and ranks him past Xavier Henry for No. 2 on the all-time freshman scoring list. He needs just three points to pass Danny Manning as the school's freshman scoring leader.
