Kansas' Win Over Texas A&M...

...Made KU 28-3 on the season and 13-3 in Big 12 play.

...Gave KU at least a share of its eighth Big 12 title and 51st overall conference regular-season championship.

...Gave KU four-straight Big 12 regular-season titles for a mind-boggling sixth time in school history and the first time since 1995-98.

...Made KU 36-3 in its last 39 regular-season contests and 42-4 in its last 46 games.

...Made the all-time series with Texas A&M 12-1 in favor of the Jayhawks, including 6-0 in College Station (5-0 in Reed Arena).

...Gave KU an 8-3 road record.

...Improved head coach Bill Self to 133-32 while at KU, 340-137 overall and 4-3 all-time against Texas A&M (4-1 while at KU).

...Made KU 1,934-785 all-time.

 

Notes

·         Kansas finished with 13 Big 12 wins for the seventh time overall and the third season in a row.  Kansas has won at least 11 league games every year of the Big 12.

·         Junior Mario Chalmers took over sole possession of seventh place on the KU all-time list for 3-pointers made.  He has made 158 treys in his career.

·         Chalmers increased his season steals total to 72 which ranks him 14th on the KU all-time single season list.

·         Senior Darnell Jackson moved into 32nd place past Bud Stallworth on the all-time KU rebounding list.  His seven boards against Texas A&M moved his career total to 559.

·         Kansas led by double digits at the half for the fourth straight game since trailing 32-36 at Oklahoma State at the break.

·         The Jayhawks finished the conference season with 91 blocked shots which ranks fifth all-time at KU.  It surpassed the 1995-96 team which blocked 87 shots, and came up short of last year's team which blocked 97 shots.

·         Darrell Arthur collected his 100th career blocked shot.

·         The Jayhawks have shot 55.4 percent (67-of-121) over their last two games.
