Before Monday night's game, Texas Tech coach Bob Knight and KU coach Bill Self enjoyed some time together.

 Mario Chalmers' tight defensive pressure forced a Tech turnover.

 C.J. Giles was fouled while trying to pull in a rebound.
Darnell Jackson slammed home a first half dunk.

 In the second half, Jackson added another slam.

 Jackson and Julian Wright enjoyed the big KU victory. Jackson scored 10 points and Wright added six points.
Sasha Kaun reversed for a dunk in the first half.

 Kaun poured in 10 points for the Jayhawks and keyed KU's first half attack.

 Kaun was congratulated by assistant Joe Dooley after leaving the game.
Russell Robinson whipped a pass to Darnell Jackson.

 Robinson finished the game with six assists.

 Brandon Rush led KU with 24 points.
Rush stretched out for jumper in the lane.

 Rush floated under the basket for a reverse shot.

 Rush was mauled on his way to the basket in the first half.
Along with his 24 points, Rush added 11 rebounds for a double/double.

 Rush canned one of his four three-point baskets.

 Rush later floated in for another dunk.
The KU volleyball team was honored for their outstanding academic achievements during the fall semester.

 KU's outstanding play was reason for many cheers.
