KU's players entered Oklahoma City's Ford Center to begin their Thursday open practice.

 Big 12 Player of the Year Wayne Simien enjoyed the beginning of his final NCAA experience.

 Coach Bill Self, an Oklahoma native, waved to the many friends he saw in the crowd.
Keith Langford practiced, but his playing status for Friday remains uncertain.

 Darnell Jackson and other players delighted the crowd with thunderous dunks.

 Jeff Hawkins and Langford laughed about some of the missed dunks.
Junior Christian Moody addressed the media after practice.

 Coach Self was upbeat about his teams chances in his comments to the media.
