Men's Basketball Headed to Switzerland and France in August
LAWRENCE, Kan. - Kansas men’s basketball will be heading to Switzerland and France this August to compete in four exhibition games. Departing August 5, the KU contingent will arrive in Zurich, Switzerland, the following day. Kansas will face the Swiss National Team on August 7 and 8. On August 9, the group will travel via high-speed train to Paris, tour for two days and then play the French Pro Club in contests on August 11 and 12. After two more days in Paris, the group will return home Aug. 14. NCAA rules permit teams to take a foreign trip every four years. This will be the third foreign trip for the Jayhawks under head coach Bill Self. In 2005 Kansas went to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and in 2009 KU played exhibition games in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The Jayhawks are 7-0 on foreign trips under Self.
