The Jayhawks own a 9-12 record in the Final Four going 7-5 in semifinal games, 2-5 in championship games and 0-2 in consolation contests. For the second-straight year, junior Brandon Rush was honored as one of the 10 members of the John R. Wooden Award All-American team as announced by Wooden Award Chairman Richard "Duke" Llewellyn at The Los Angeles Athletic Club on Tuesday. Rush earned the same honor in 2007 and was on the Preseason and Mid-Season Wooden Award list this season.

Kansas men's basketball's trio of sophomore Darrell Arthur and juniors Mario Chalmers and Brandon Rush were honored by the Associated Press on Monday as Honorable Mention All-Americans. This is the second-straight AP Honorable Mention All-America honor for Rush. The Big 12 Tournament Most Outstanding Player is Kansas' leading scorer at 13.1 points per game. After missing the first two games of the season, Rush also leads the team with 78 three-pointers.

An estimated 6,000 screaming Kansas fans welcomed the Jayhawks home to Allen Fieldhouse at 1 a.m. Monday morning after KU's 59-57 victory over Davidson Sunday. The win put Kansas in the Final Four where it will face North Carolina Saturday at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The festive crowd was treated to a highlight video and was able to see the Midwest Regional championship trophy and hear from head coach Bill Self and several players.

In dramatic fashion, the University of Kansas men's basketball team defeated Davidson 59-57 Sunday at Ford Field to advance to the NCAA Final Four. The Final Four trip is the 13th in school history. In a game that saw nine ties and seven lead changes and had everyone in the stands on the edge of their seats, Kansas picked up the win on the defensive end when Davidson saw its last second shot fall left of the rim, and the celebration began.

This marks the second-straight season Rush has been named to the NABC District 12 First Team. As a freshman Rush was a second-team District 12 member. The other three Jayhawks are appearing on the NABC All-District 12 squad for the first time.

Six Jayhawks scored in double figures as fifth-ranked Kansas posted its most points in 194 games in a 109-51 basketball rout of Texas Tech on Senior Night in Lawrence Monday night. Kansas improved to 27-3 overall and 12-3 in Big 12 play, while Texas Tech fell to 16-13 and 7-8. The Jayhawks finished 2008 with a perfect 20-0 home record. It is the first undefeated home season for KU since going 13-0 in 2001-02.

It is the second honor this season for Rogers and first for Rush, while Beasley captures a weekly award for a record-tying 10th time (two player, eight rookie).
