High School: Named the top offensive lineman prospect and third overall prospect in the state of Kansas by Rivals.com heading into senior campaign... Missed his senior season at Blue Valley West due to injury... Earned honorable mention All-Eastern Kansas League honors as a junior... Coached by Scott Wright at BVWHS... Also lettered in track and field at Blue Valley West and taking second in the discus and third in the shot put at 2011 Kansas State Track and Field Championships... An outstanding student... Member of the National Honor Society, the BVWHS Honor Roll and the German Club.

Personal: Son of Cathy and Bruce Beckmann... Father, Bruce, played basketball at Nebraska Wesleyan and graduated from the University of Nebraska... Plans to major in Business at KU... Chose Kansas over Kansas State.
