Was the team's main tight end starting two games (Texas Tech and Missouri) when the Jayhawks used that position on the first play... Has six receptions for 65 yards... First collegiate catch came at South Florida... Had a season-best two receptions for 26 yards vs. Colorado, including his season-long 23 yarder... Had a nine-yard reception in the Insight Bowl.
High School: Was an all-super state first team selection in 2007... Was an all-state defensive back by the Omaha World Herald... Also earned all-metro honors... Was a Nike Camp MVP... As a senior he was second on the team in tackles with 96... Had three interceptions on defense... On the offensive side of the ball he had 21 catches, including four for touchdowns as a tight end... As a junior he had 29 catches for 456 yards and nine touchdowns... Also recorded 70 tackles, including 16 for loss... For his career, he pulled in 50 passes for 759 yards and 13 touchdowns... Defensively, he had 166 tackles and three interceptions... Also lettered in basketball and baseball... Earned all-state second team honors in baseball as a junior... Football team was state runner-up his junior year... Baseball team won state title in 2006.
