03/04/2013 Weis Meets With The Media To Kick Off 2013 Spring Football SeasonKansas football head coach Charlie Weis met with the media Monday to discuss the upcoming spring season. 2012 (At CC of San Francisco): Arrived at Kansas from City College of San Francisco where his play earned him a four-star rating by Rivals and a three-star rating by ESPN... Tabbed the 13th-rated JUCO prospect by Rivals and the 77th-best junior college prospect in the country by ESPN.com... Had 65 tackles, including 41 solo hits, while playing defensive end in 2012... Recorded 4.5 sacks for a loss of 26 yards and also had two fumble recoveries... Suited up for coach George Rush at CCSF. 2011 (At Navarro College): Played at Navarro College (Texas) in 2011... Saw action in two games at Navarro, recording five tackles and one sack. 2010 (At Florida): Spent the 2010 season as a redshirt at Florida after signing with Cal out of high school. High School: Coming out of high school was rated a five-star recruit by Rivals, Scout and Tom Lemming... ESPN gave him four stars... Ranked among the nation's Top 20 overall players on several lists, including the SuperPrep Elite 50 (No. 7), Scout (No. 10), Rivals (No. 18), Sporting News (No. 18) and the PrepStar Dream Team (No. 19)... Named a Parade All-American, First Team Best in the West and all-state following a senior season in which he recorded 97 tackles, 11.0 sacks, five forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries... Spent the 2008 season at Bishop O'Dowd High School in Oakland (Calif.), recording 110 tackles, 20.0 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks and 11 pass breakups to lead his squad to a 10-2 mark...
