03/13/2013 Kansas Football To Host Coaching Clinic April 5-6Head coach Charlie Weis and the Jayhawk staff will hold their annual coaches clinic April 5-6. 02/11/2013 Weis Announces Staff Alterations And AdditionsKansas football adds three new staff members and changes up roles on a few others. 11/30/2012 Building the Program: Kansas FootballMaurice Crum is in his second season on Kansas head coach Charlie Weis' staff, serving as the assistant director of football operations. Crum, who played under Weis at Notre Dame, joined the Jayhawks in January of 2012 and spent his first season in Lawrence as a graduate assistant for the defense. Crum, who played linebacker, started all 40 games of his career at Notre Dame. He accumulated 306 tackles, 23 TFLs and eight sacks, while also recording nine pass break ups and seven forced fumbles for the Fighting Irish defense. Crum served as a team captain for both the 2007 and 2008 seasons, becoming just the 17th player in Irish history to do so. He helped lead the program to three bowl games, including the 2006 Fiesta Bowl and the 2007 Sugar Bowl, during his time in South Bend. Following his outstanding career at Notre Dame Crum spent three years playing linebacker for the Sacramento Mountain Lions of the UFL before accepting his position at Kansas. The Tampa, Fla., native graduated from Notre Dame in 2008, earning a bachelor's degree in sociology. He and his wife, Crysta Swayzer-Crum, have one son, Maurice C. Crum III. |
