2011 (RS): Sat out the season due to NCAA transfer rules after joining KU from UNLV.

2010 (Fr. at UNLV): Spent the 2010 season at UNLV, but took a redshirt.

High School: Was a quarterback as a senior in high school... Played free safety and recorded three interceptions as a junior... Earned second-team all-Eastern Kansas League honors... Was a three-year letterwinner... Also played basketball.

Personal: Born in Superior, Colo... Son of Natalyn and Jon Embree... Has one brother and one sister... Father served as the head coach at Colorado (2011-12), and has made assistant coaching stops at Colorado and UCLA in college football and the Kansas City Chiefs and Washington Redskins in the NFL... Brother, Taylor, played football at UCLA... Plans to major in communications... Would like to be a football coach... Main hobby is playing video games.
