Career Honors: 2012: Named to the team's Dean's List and Athletic Director's Honor Roll with a 3.67 GPA during spring semester. 2011 (RS): Redshirted during his first year at KU. High School: Earned three letters in football at Rockhurst, playing both linebacker and fullback... Earned Missouri All-State honors in 2010... Earned Honorable Mention All-Metro honors and was named the NWC Midwest Linebacker MVP... Competed in baseball for three years and was on the Rockhurst Track and Field team for two years. Personal: Born in Shawnee, Kan.... Son of Jerry and Judy Karlin... Has three brothers and two sisters... Brother, Josh Karlin, played football at TCU... Plans to major in engineering at KU... Was a member of the National Honor Society in high school. |
