2012 (Jr.):Played in all 12 games... Started in five games at nose tackle... Registered 19 tackles, including three TFLs and 1.5 sacks... Made two tackles, including an assisted sack, against South Dakota State... Recorded a career-high four tackles, including a TFL and a pass breakup, against TCU... Recorded two solo tackles at Kansas State... Added three solo stops against Oklahoma State... Registered a pair of assisted tackles at Baylor, including one behind the line of scrimmage... Recorded first career solo sack, along with two tackles, at Texas Tech... Capped the season with two tackles at West Virginia.
2011 (So.): Played in nine games, making four starts on the defensive line... Missed the Kansas State and Baylor games... Made two tackles against McNeese State and one against Northern Illinois... Had a pass breakup against Texas Tech.
2010 (RFr.): Played in all 12 games and started each of the first six games at defensive end... Recorded 14 tackles on the season... Best game statistically was three tackles against New Mexico State... Made two tackles in four other games... Broke up a pass against Texas A&M.
2009 (Fr.): Redshirted his first year at KU... Named the George Mrkonic Defensive Scout Player of the Year for the Jayhawks... Named KU defensive scout player of the week vs. Southern Mississippi and Missouri... Arrived on campus for spring of 2009.
High School: A three-year letterwinner at Olathe North HS... Played tight end and defensive end... Was an all-state, all-league and all-city selection... Team was 8-3 on the season and advanced to the second round of the state playoffs... As a junior he recorded 80 tackles and 12 sacks while earning all-league second team honors... Also played basketball... Was all-city and all-league.
