As a junior (2005): Appeared in the final six games of the season as holder for field goals and PATs ... An Academic All-Big 12 First Team selection ... Named to the Athletic Director's 3.0-3.99 Honor Roll. As a sophomore (2004): Switched to the offensive side of the ball and played in all 11 games as a wide receiver ... Hauled in two receptions including a six-yard catch in the season-opener against Tulsa and a 10-yard grab in week two against Toledo ... A member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll and a first team Academic All-Big 12 selection. As a freshman (2003): Started all 13 games after joining the team via walk-on tryouts ... Named second-team freshman All-America at safety by The Sporting News ... Finished ranked among the top 10 freshmen in the nation in tackles per game (6.8) ... His 89 total tackles ranked fifth among all KU players ... Tied for the team-lead with two interceptions ... A first-team Academic All-Big 12 selection. High School: A second-team all-state selection ... Earned All-Sunflower League honors after his senior season ... Named All-Johnson County and was a first-team All-Metro honoree ...
