11/30/2012 Building the Program: Kansas FootballMike O'Connor is in his second season with the Kansas football program and coordinates the video operations. In his position, O'Connor is in charge of shooting and editing video of the team's practices and games so the coaches can analyze player performance and play execution throughout the year. O'Connor is also in charge of both the data reports that coincide with weekly opponent break downs and maintaining the recruiting film database. O'Connor, a 2007 graduate of SUNY-Cortland, came to KU after spending the 2011 season as a video assistant with the NFL's Miami Dolphins. Prior to his season in Miami, he was a video assistant for the 2009 and 2010 seasons with the Cleveland Browns. O'Connor was on the football staff at Hofstra University during 2008, serving as the football video coordinator. He joined the Hofstra staff after interning during the spring of 2008 with the football video staff at Syracuse. O'Connor, a native of Massapequa Park, N.Y., currently resides in Lawrence. |
