2009 (RS): Spent time on the defensive line before being moved to the offensive line midway through the season.

2008 (Fr.): The true freshman saw playing time as a top reserve on the defensive line... Recorded eight tackles on the year... Made two tackles in his college debut against Florida International in the season opener... Had a season-best three tackles vs. Kansas State.

High School: Earned all-city recognition as a junior and as a senior... Recorded 32 tackles, including 1.5 sacks as a senior... Also recovered a fumble... Listed as the 58th-best defensive tackle prospect by Rivals.com... Also competed in track and field and was fifth in the state in the shot put as a junior... National Honor Society member for four years.
