2010 (So.): Started the season-opener at quarterback and then played as a reserve at that position in three other games... Played the last two games of the year at wide receiver... First career start at quarterback was against North Dakota State and he was 13 of 22 for 138 yards... Other extensive action was a seven of 12 for 40 yards day against Texas A&M... Was 21 of 36 for 193 yards on the season... As a wide receiver in the final two games he caught three passes for 18 yards... Had two receptions for nine yards against Oklahoma State and one for nine yards against Missouri... Missed some time during the season due to a leg injury.

2009 (Fr.): Saw action in seven games as a backup to record-setting quarterback Todd Reesing... First collegiate action came in season-opener against Northern Colorado when he was two of two passing for 11 yards and rushed three times for 47 yards... On the season he hit four of five attempts for 22 yards, while rushing 14 times for 167 yards... His rushing total was third on the team... Ran twice for 87 yards, including a 55-yarder at UTEP in his second game... In addition to the Northern Colorado game he was one of one passing for five yards at UTEP and one of two for six yards at Texas Tech.

2008 (RS): Earned KU's Otto Schnellbacher Offensive Scout Player of the Year honor... Named KU Scout Team Player of the Week vs. both South Florida and vs. Texas... Redshirted the season.

High School: Participated in spring practice at KU after graduating early from high school... Suffered a season-ending injury in his first game as a senior... As a junior he was an all-state and all-conference selection... Was his team's offensive MVP... Led team to first winning record in 12 years... Threw for 1,779 yards and 19 touchdowns, while completing 55 percent of his attempts and throwing just six interceptions as a junior... Set 12 quarterback records at Dodge City High School...
