Jayhawks Get Physical In Fourth Spring Practice
April 3, 2012 LAWRENCE, Kan. - Physical was the word of the day at Kansas football's fourth practice session of the 2012 spring season. KU put on the pads for the second-straight practice and worked at a high tempo for the nearly three hour session. Practicing under perfect weather conditions on the fields adjacent to Memorial Stadium, KU primarily kept to its routine practice schedule: working on individual drills, team drills and special teams. The Jayhawks continued to implement more to their repertoire on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball now that the spring season is progressing. In Tuesday's practice session the players were going pad-to-pad after having two days off between practices. KU will return to practice on Thursday, April 5 and will again be donning full pads in its fifth session of the spring. Kansas head coach Charlie Weis announced Tuesday that redshirt freshman defensive tackle Julius Green has been dismissed from the team for a violation of team rules.
