KU Football Players To Report Thursday

The team will hold its first practice on Friday. An open practice for the public will be held on the grass practice fields west of the baseball stadium on Sunday at 9 a.m. KU will host another practice open to the public on Monday, August 13 at 4:45 p.m.
On Tuesday, the Jayhawks will meet with the media at its annual Media Day. A Fan Appreciation Day will be held on Wednesday, August 22 with details to come later.
Among the players slated to report Thursday are 33 returning lettermen, including 16 starters from last year's 6-6 team. Three Jayhawks were selected to the preseason All-Big 12 Football Team by a panel of league media recently. That group includes offensive tackle Anthony Collins, defensive tackle James McClinton and cornerback Aqib Talib.
