LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas quarterback Todd Reesing was one of 10 players to make the cut as a candidate for the 2009 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award.  The award is presented to the nation’s top senior college quarterback.

Reesing was one of the original 22 candidates for the honor, which was narrowed to 10 Sunday.

Reesing enters this week’s home game against Oklahoma ranked third in the NCAA in passing yards (330.00), completions (27.17) and total offense (340.17).  He is also fifth in points responsible for (18.00) and 15^th in pass efficiency (152.60), while leading the Jayhawks to a 5-1 record and a top-25 national ranking.

Reesing threw for more than 400 yards in each of his last two games, with 442 against Iowa State and 401 at Colorado Saturday.  The 442 yards were the second most in school history.
