Jason Swanson saw his first action of the season at quarterback. Swanson completed 26 of 50 passes for 291 yards and one touchdown.

 Swanson's touchdown pass was hauled in by Charles Gordon as he stretched out in the end zone for the catch.

 Swanson was congratulated by Jeff Foster and Adam Barmann.
Eric Washington and Mike Rivera combined for a special team tackle.

 Linebacker Nick Reid pressured a pass attempt.

 Clark Green rushed for 51 yards and gained 66 yards on receptions.
Theo Baines and Paul Como combined for a tackle.

 Coach Mark Mangino discussed strategy with the coaches in the pressbox.

 Swanson's debut sparked a first half comeback by KU.
Mark Simmons raced down the Colorado sideline on a 38-yard reception.
