KU's return home to face rival Missouri brought out the best in KU tailgating.

 A tiger hung from a tree at one party.

 The KU band marched past fall foilage on their way into the stadium.
One young KU fan even had himself tattooed for a day.

 KU's Benson Chesang was on hand for the coin toss after the cross country runner defended his Big 12 title in Waco Friday.

 Jon Cornish provided 54 yards of rushing to help keep the defense fresh.
Charles Gordon's pass reception in front of the large KU crowd brought the Jayhawks to the five-yard line.

 Jason Swanson, in his first start of the season, guided the offense for steady gains.

 Clark Green racked up 125 yards of rushing on 22 carries.
Adam Barmann showed Coach Mark Mangino that KU was that close to scoring its first touchdown in the second quarter.

 Charlton Keith wrapped up Missouri quarterback Brad Smith.

 Jermial Ashley chased down Smith.
Former KU quarterback Nolan Cromwell and family were honored by athletics director Lew Perkins at halftime. Cromwell's name was added to the Ring of Honor in Memorial Stadium.

 Cromwell acknowledged the cheers of the KU fans.

 A crowd of 48,238 watched the homecoming victory.
Charlton Keith chased down Brad Smith.

 Keith then was congratulated by a sky-high Nick Reid.

 Coach Mangino huddled with his offense late in the third quarter.
Aqib Talib came up with KU's critical fumble recovery.

 Jon Cornish capped the resulting drive with a 10-yard touchdown run.

 After the touchdown, KU fans smelled the blood of the wounded Tigers.
Brad Smith had to race back to recover a loose ball that killed a Missouri drive.

 Charlton Keith continued to pressure Brad Smith all afternoon.

 Clark Green slashed through the Tigers' defense for a big gain.
Linebackers Banks Floodman and Nick Reid celebrated the victory with coach Mangino.

 Mangino had a big hug for senior defensive lineman Tim Allen.

 KU fans flooded the field for a goalpost parade.
Fans rode the posts on their trip around campus.

 The joy of beatiing Missouri for the third consecutive time was evident.
