Reesing, Dudley Receive Academic All-District Honors

Reesing holds a 3.64 grade point average as a double-major in finance and economics. The Austin, Texas native is also a two-time Academic All-Big 12 selection and was recently named as one of 16 members of the National Scholar-Athlete class by the National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame.
On the field, Reesing has guided the Jayhawks' offense this season with 2,385 total passing yards and 16 touchdowns, along with four TDs on the ground. He ranks second in the Big 12 in yards, completions, total offense and points responsible for and needs just 37 passing yards to become the fifth player in Big 12 history to throw for 10,000 career yards.
Dudley, a product of College Station, Texas, has earned a 3.67 cumulative grade point average in civil engineering. Last year, Dudley received his first Academic All-Big 12 honor as a member of the first team. In addition to his scholastic success, Dudley leads KU this season with 57 total tackles, which includes a career-high 17 tackles against Colorado. He has also tallied three sacks so far this year.
Both players are now eligible for Academic All-American honors, which will be announced later this month. The Academic All-Big 12 team will also be selected in the coming weeks.
