KU's Laptad And Springer Earn Associated Press All-Big 12 Football Recognition

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Two Kansas seniors - defensive end Jake Laptad and linebacker Jake Springer - were both named to the Associated Press All-Big 12 Honorable Mention football teams this week. The team is selected by a 20-member media panel, which covers the conference.
Laptad led the Jayhawk linemen with 38 tackles on the season. His 8.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, five quarterback hurries and three fumbles forced, all led the team. Laptad’s best games statistically were seven stops at Nebraska and five tackles vs. Missouri.
Springer finished second on the team in tackles with 85 stops. He had eight tackles for loss, including one sack on the season. Twice this season Springer recorded double-figure tackle totals as he had 15 vs. Georgia Tech and 12 vs. Texas A&M.
