The next video in the series focuses on Reggie Mitchell, Kansas' running backs coach. Mitchell is entering his third season at Kansas, where he serves as running backs coach. Crist, Hawkinson and Opurum Named Kansas Football Team Captains For 2012
Following a team vote, Kansas football head coachCharlie Weisannounced here today that seniorsDayne Crist,Tanner HawkinsonandToben Opurumhad been appointed permanent team captains for the 2012 season. Crist and Hawkinson earned the honor for the first time in their Kansas careers, while Opurum served as a team captain during the 2011 campaign. (Full Release)

KU Head Coach Charlie Weis Holds Final Press Conference of Spring
Kansas head football coachCharlie Weisheld his final press conference of the spring on Tuesday afternoon at Mrkonic Auditorium at the Anderson Family Football Complex. Weis spoke about what it takes to be a leader and then announced that the team will be officially naming its team captains later this afternoon. (Full Release)

Mic'd Up with Rob Ianello
KUAthletics.com and Rock Chalk Video take a closer look at the staff first-year head coach Charlie Weis has assembled at Kansas. The next video in the series focuses on Rob Ianello, the KU wide receivers coach and Jayhawks recruiting coordinator. Ianello joins the Kansas program after serving the previous two seasons as the head coach at Akron. Prior to his stint at Akron, Ianello was a member of the coaching staff at Notre Dame from 2005-09, coaching all five seasons under Weis. He coached the Irish in the 2008 Hawai'i Bowl, 2007 Sugar Bowl and2006 Fiesta Bowl. (Link to Ianello's Bio)

Campo Talks About Progress on the Defensive Side
Kansas defensive coordinatorDave Campomet with the media Tuesday afternoon in the Mrkonic Auditorium at the Anderson Family Football Complex to discuss the defense. Campo spoke about the type of player the Jayhawks are looking for and touched on the role of leader on the team. (Full Release)

 April 12 - Eighth Practice

Jayhawks Hold Practice In Anschutz Thursday
Kansas football moved inside for its eighth practice of the 2012 spring season, taking the field inside Anschutz Pavilion Thursday afternoon. The Jayhawks, who have enjoyed picturesque weather conditions during the first two weeks of spring ball, had already planned to practice inside Thursday and the weather in Lawrence followed accordingly with rain showers covering the area.  April 10 - Seventh Practice

Jayhawks Continue Building in Seventh Practice
Kansas head coach Charlie Weis met with the media Tuesday to offer his thoughts on the Jayhawks' progress through six spring practices. Later in the afternoon, the Jayhawks took to the field for the seventh time, fifth time in full pads. (Link to Full Release)

Mic'd Up with Buddy Wyatt
KUAthletics.com and Rock Chalk Video take a closer look at the staff first-year head coach Charlie Weis has assembled at Kansas. The next video in the series focuses on Buddy Wyatt, the Jayhawks' defensive line coach. The 2012 season will mark Wyatt's third season at Kansas and 22nd overall at the collegiate level. He has made several coaching stops in the Big 12 Conference, as he came to Kansas after spending the 2008-09 seasons at Texas A&M. Wyatt coached at Oklahoma State (1996) and also at Texas A&M (2000-02, 08-09). In addition he has coached at TCU (1991), Minnesota (1992-95), Northwestern (1997-98), Colorado (1999), Alabama (2003-06) and Nebraska (2007). (Link to Wyatt's Bio)

Practice Number Five in the Books for KU
Defensive CoordinatorDave Campoheld his first press conference as a member of the Jayhawk coaching staff, while the team convened for its fifth practice of the spring season Thursday at the Anderson Family Football Complex. Mic'd Up with Jeff Blasko
KUAthletics.com and Rock Chalk Video take a closer look at the staff first-year head coach Charlie Weis has assembled at Kansas. The third video in the series focuses on Jeff Blasko, the Jayhawks' assistant special teams coordinator and tight ends coach. Blasko comes to Kansas after serving as Weis' right-hand man at Florida during the 2011 season. He was the Gators' quality control coach for offense, assisting Weis daily with all practice and game preparation, as well as, player development. Following Weis' departure to become the head coach at Kansas, UF head coach Will Muschamp promoted Blasko to quarterbacks coach for Florida's Gator Bowl win over Ohio State. (Link to Blasko's Bio)

Jayhawks Get Physical in Fourth Spring Practice
Physical was the word of the day at Kansas football's fourth practice session of the 2012 spring season. KU put on the pads for the second-straight practice and worked at a high tempo for the nearly three hour session. (Link to Full Release)

Jayhawks Put On Pads for Third Spring Practice
Kansas football head coachCharlie Weisand his Jayhawks went through their third practice of the 2012 spring season here Saturday. KU, who practiced in pads for the first time during this spring season, went through a two and half hour workout inside Memorial Stadium to accommodate the large amount of recruits who were on campus to take part in "Junior Day." KUAthletics.com and Rock Chalk Video take a closer look at the staff first-year head coach Charlie Weis has assembled at Kansas. The second video in the series focuses on Clint Bowen, former KU player and assistant who will coach the defensive backs and special teams. During his previous stint on the KU coaching staff, the Jayhawks posted a 3-1 bowl record, including a 24-21 win over Virginia Tech in the 2008 Orange Bowl. Kansas finished the 2007 season with a 12-1 record and No. 7 national ranking in both the Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today coaches polls. (Link to Bowen's Bio)

Jayhawks Conduct Second Spring Practice
The Kansas football team took to the practice fields for the second of 15 spring practice sessions Thursday afternoon. The Jayhawks worked out for nearly two and a half hours, and worked on individual drills as well as implementing new offensive and defensive schemes. (Full Release)

In the first installment we focus on Tim Grunhard as the Jayhawks took to the field for the first time Tuesday. Grunhard joined the Jayhawks after serving as a state champion head coach at Bishop Miege High School and had an 11-year pro career with the Kansas City Chiefs during which, he was selected to the NFL Pro Bowl. Weis Meets with the Media to Kickoff 2012 Spring Football
Kansas football head coach Charlie Weis met with the media Tuesday afternoon to discuss opening his first spring football season at the helm of the Jayhawk program.
