Ianello joins the Kansas program after serving the previous two seasons as the head coach at Akron. Prior to his stint at Akron, Ianello was a member of the coaching staff at Notre Dame from 2005-09, coaching all five seasons under Weis. Jayhawks Hold Practice In Anschutz Thursday
Kansas football moved inside for its eighth practice of the 2012 spring season, taking the field inside Anschutz Pavilion Thursday afternoon. The Jayhawks, who have enjoyed picturesque weather conditions during the first two weeks of spring ball, had already planned to practice inside Thursday and the weather in Lawrence followed accordingly with rain showers covering the area. The next video in the series focuses on Buddy Wyatt, the Jayhawks' defensive line coach. The 2012 season will mark Wyatt's third season at Kansas and 22nd overall at the collegiate level. He has made several coaching stops in the Big 12 Conference, as he came to Kansas after spending the 2008-09 seasons at Texas A&M. Wyatt coached at Oklahoma State (1996) and also at Texas A&M (2000-02, 08-09). In addition he has coached at TCU (1991), Minnesota (1992-95), Northwestern (1997-98), Colorado (1999), Alabama (2003-06) and Nebraska (2007). (Link to Wyatt's Bio)

KUAthletics.com and Rock Chalk Video take a closer look at the staff first-year head coach Charlie Weis has assembled at Kansas. The third video in the series focuses on Jeff Blasko, the Jayhawks' assistant special teams coordinator and tight ends coach. Blasko comes to Kansas after serving as Weis' right-hand man at Florida during the 2011 season. He was the Gators' quality control coach for offense, assisting Weis daily with all practice and game preparation, as well as, player development. Following Weis' departure to become the head coach at Kansas, UF head coach Will Muschamp promoted Blasko to quarterbacks coach for Florida's Gator Bowl win over Ohio State. (Link to Blasko's Bio)

KU, who practiced in pads for the first time during this spring season, went through a two and half hour workout inside Memorial Stadium to accommodate the large amount of recruits who were on campus to take part in "Junior Day." The second video in the series focuses on Clint Bowen, former KU player and assistant who will coach the defensive backs and special teams. During his previous stint on the KU coaching staff, the Jayhawks posted a 3-1 bowl record, including a 24-21 win over Virginia Tech in the 2008 Orange Bowl.
