HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. -

The University of Kansas men's golf team finished tied for ninth place at the Courtyard by Marriot Intercollegiate at Devils Ridge G.C. in Holly Springs, N.C.  The Jayhawks shot a final round of 293 for a combined score of 580.  Due to weather problems, the third round was canceled making it the third time this spring the `Hawks have had a tournament cut short because of weather.

"Obviously we are a little disappointed that we didn't get to finish the tournament," head coach Ross Randall said.  "We felt like the cool and windy weather would have been good for us and we would have been able to move up the leaderboard."

Duke took home the title with a 560, followed by Wake Forest and Georgia Southern which shot a 561.

Senior Kevin Ward and juniors Pete Krsnich and Luke Trammell led the Jayhawks after each shot a 145 to tie for 27th.  Sophomore Tyler Docking shot a 146 to tie for 33rd.  Sophomore Gary Woodland carded a 150 to tie for 58th.

Kansas will next be in action at the Big 12 Championships at Whispering Pines G.C. in Trinity, Texas on April 29-May 1.
