Jayhawks Finish Sixth At Big 12 Championships

TRINITY, Texas - The University of Kansas men's golf team finished in sixth place at the Big 12 Championships at Whispering Pines G.C. in Trinity, Texas. The Jayhawks shot a 303 on Sunday for a three-day total of 910. "We had a good round going early, but we finished poorly," head coach Ross Randall said. "Hopefully we can get back, practice and work on some things before regionals start." Oklahoma State captured its fourth Big 12 title after scoring an 868. Oklahoma finished second with an 877. Senior Kevin Ward finished in a tie for 15th with a 225. Senior Andrew Price and sophomore Gary Woodland tied for 39th with three-day totals of 233. Junior Luke Trammel and sophomore Tyler Docking finished in a tie for 39th as each shot a 234. Kansas will next be in action at the NCAA Central Regionals in South Bend, Ind. on May 19-21.
