Jayhawks Fire 289 in Opening Round Of NCAA Central Regional

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -
The University of Kansas men's golf team fired an opening round of 289, at the NCAA Central Regionals at Warren Golf Course in South Bend, Ind. There are still 12 teams who have yet to finish after a three hour rain delay haulted play early this morning "It was tough today because we had a three hour rain delay," head coach Ross Randall said. "Kevin played well today. I hope we can come out tomorrow and play some of our best golf." Senior Kevin Ward leads the Jayhawks after firing a 68. Sophomore Gary Woodland shot an even par 70. Sophomore Tyler Docking fired a 75. Senior Andrew Price shot a 76. Junior Luke Trammell carded a 77.
