Kansas Finishes 6th at The Nelson Invitational

PALO ALTO, Calif. - The Kansas men's golf team finished in 6th place, in a 16-team field, at the Nelson Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif. Kansas shot a final round score of 282 for a three-day total of 847 at the par-69 Stanford Golf Club. "The course played difficult again today," head coach Ross Randall said. "I was impressed with Tyler Docking's performance this weekend, but as a team we haven't played our "A-game" yet. Hopefully we will find that for the next tournament." New Mexico finished in first after totaling an 830, followed by UNLV with an 835. Sophomore Tyler Docking finished in a tie for fourth after firing a final round of 70 for a total of 207. Sophomore Gary Woodland shot a third round 68 to finish tied for 16th with a 212 total. Senior Kevin Ward carded a 71 and sophomore Barrett Martens shot a 73 as each finished with a 216 and tied for 37th. Senior Andrew Price shot a final round of 74 to finish in a tie for 65th with a 223. Team Results Place School Score
