Men's Golf In Fourth Place at The Prestige

LA QUINTA, Calif. - The Kansas men's golf team is in fourth place, in a 16-team field, at The Prestige at PGA West G.C. in La Quinta, Calif. The Jayhawks posted rounds of 313 and 305, respectively, to give them a two-round total of 618. "Today was kind of a struggle because this golf course is so difficult," said head coach Ross Randall. "We feel fortunate to be where we are and hopefully we will play better tomorrow and move up the leaderboard." UC Davis currently leads the tournament after firing a two-round total of 609, followed by UCLA who carded a 610. Senior Kevin Ward is currently in a tie for third place after a two-round total of 149. Sophomore Tyler Docking is tied for 15th place after he totaled a 154. Senior Andrew Price shot a two-round total of 159 and is currently tied for 38th place. Sophomore Barrett Martens carded a two-day total of 160 to tie for 45th. Sophomore Gary Woodland is in a tie for 59th place after shooting a 163 two-round total. Kansas will begin final round action on Tuesday with shotgun tee-times set to begin at 9:30 Central time.
