The Kansas women’s tennis team completed back-to-back sweeps over Wichita State and Houston for its fourth straight win on Friday at the Jayhawk Tennis Center.

Michael Brooks had two home runs and a career-high seven RBIs as Kansas took down Pacific 18-7 on Friday night at Hoglund Ballpark. The Jayhawks had 18 runs on 23 hits which were both season highs. The 23 hits for Kansas were its most since the 2007 season.

Kansas softball fell in the first game of a three-game series against Texas Tech at Rocky Johnson Field Friday night, 6-5, as the Red Raiders walked off KU in the bottom of the seventh inning. 

The Kansas men’s golf team will close out its regular season at the Hawkeye Invitational this weekend, April 13-14, in a 54-hole event hosted at Finkbine Golf Course. 

Junior KJ Adams Jr. was honored with the Danny Manning Mr. Jayhawk Award at the Kansas men’s basketball annual team banquet Thursday evening at the Burge Union on the KU campus.

Kansas will host Pacific at Hoglund Ballpark this weekend for a three-game series as it wraps up a seven-game homestand. The Jayhawks have a bye week from Big 12 play.

The Kansas Jayhawks (22-15-1, 10-5 Big 12) travel to Lubbock, Texas, to take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders (24-12, 4-8 Big 12) from April 12-14 at Rocky Johnson Field in KU’s sixth Big 12 conference series of the season and second-straight on the road.

With spring football underway, Kansas Football announced details for its annual Spring Showcase, presented by Kansas Lottery, which will be played on Friday, April 12 at 7 p.m. at Rock Chalk Park in Lawrence.

Kansas freshman guard Johnny Furphy has been named to the Australian Boomers team for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Basketball Australia announced April 11.
